This project was inspired by the beautiful Łazienki Królewskie park in Warsaw, which I visited last spring. I worked on this project for about nine weeks, half time.
.
I collaborated with technical artist Erik Svensson, who created the VFX and water for the scene—an addition that significantly elevated the final result. Check out his website! https://eriksvensson.com/
.
The atmospheric effects combine volumetric fog with fog cards from Easy Fog by William Faucher. The sky system was created using Ultra Dynamic Sky. Due to time constraints, I incorporated some Megascans assets for foliage, dirt materials (used in both vertex painting and RGB mask shaders), and a few smaller props. Several of these assets were modified to better fit the scene. Sounds are from Pixabay.
.
Given more time, I would have liked to further refine my materials. I also would have introduced slight positional offsets to the modular pieces earlier in the process to better break up straight lines and reduce the boxy appearance. Additionally, RGB masks proved to be a powerful tool, and I would have liked to expand their use across more assets.
.
I would like to thank my friends, colleagues, and mentors for their support. Special thanks to my mentor Adam Dencker, my teacher Adam, our programming teacher Daniel, and my family. Without their support and encouragement, this project would not have been possible.
